Today we share the story of MaryAnn ,a 24 year old Christian Nanny whom we placed with a Muslim family for three years.
MaryAnn nursed the dream of furthering her education as her parents could not afford to send her to the university. She hails from Enugu state,Nigeria. MaryAnn started babysitting when she was twenty years and graduated to being a Nanny after completing our Baby and Home Management Orientation program.
She gave her best to this family who reciprocated with gratitude and kindness. The family encouraged her and she prepared for JAMB exam while still working full-time and earning full time.
We are so glad to share with you that MaryAnn passed her exams in flying colors and have been admitted to study Accounting /Finance at the University of Calabar! She will be able to pay her fees from the savings she has garnered in nearly three years.
In the video we shared on our facebook page,we gave MaryAnn the opportunity to share her success story with a cross section of young Nanny trainees enrolled with us to encourage them to continue to #Pressforprogress and pursue their life g oals with fervor.
MaryAnn could be the next governor of CBN…she could be the next Ngozi Okonjo Iweala!
We will keep encouraging members of our community to #Pressforprogress in all areas of endeavor!
Working as a Nanny is a full time job for many but can be a stop gap for women and girls who genuinely love children and are seeking valuable employments
